Hidden Jeopardy

Hidden Jeopardy - A novel of conspiracy, suspense and diplomatic intrigue.

Negotiations between the EU and Russia for the supply of natural gas to Europe have reached a critical stage.

Chief Jorg Emcke and his specialist police unit in Luxembourg are investigating cross border crime and are closing in on a criminal syndicate, then they suddenly find themselves at the centre of a plot to de-rail the natural gas negotiations. To avert a political row his team is ordered to stop their investigations and back off.

As part of Chief Emcke team Inspector Kate Adams finds that she has passed the point of no return. She has become embroiled in a diplomatic row and her life is in jeopardy.

People in positions of power are  rapidly trying to protect their reputations and to stop highly damaging facts from coming into the public domain.

With Kate missing, and Chief Emcke under house arrest, Rafi Khan is ordered home. Unwilling to leave Kate in peril, Rafi sets about finding her, but in his short time working with MI5 has he gained sufficient knowledge and contacts to piece together what is really going on? And how long will he survive, in the murky world of the Central European mafia and the Russian security service, without support from the British Intelligence Services?

Time is running out for both Kate and the negotiators of the natural gas deal.
